The purpose of this site is to allow greens and fellow travlers to organize and self publish their views to the world at large. So far we have a good news aggregator but not enough local and state content. And that is what we sorely need here at gpoftn.org.

It is in that spirit I have added the blog module and blogging API. What this will allow you to do is to setup a blog and use blogging clients to write to this site. Right now I'm using scribefire to write this. Blogging tools allow writers better control and a different interface for a blog than what a web browser allows. Hopefully this will encourage others to contribute more to this site. This can also allow active bloggers who have other blogs to cross post here as well.

I also plan to start adding screencasts on how to use this site. Just basic things for the non-techies out there on how they can use this site.

I plan to add new messaging capabilities thru the site as well as twitter & Facebook logins. How many of you would want SMS messages from this site? To be able to login with your yahoo ID? Do you want a GPofTN.net or .org e-mail? Are you interested in doing podcasts or video blogs on one of the 10 key values? Or some Green Citizen interest? This the place for you to have at it. This is your canvas.

Rememember the revolution will not be televised, unless you docuement it online.
